PRESIDENT COMMENTS

Hello to all,

Now that our season is in full swing I am happy to see many of you at the different tournaments we have around our state. My schedule has been a little crazy so I have not made too many yet, but I hope to reconcile that starting next weekend. I am sorry to report that our longtime friend, Boyd Stonerock has passed away. He meant so much to so many of us it’s hard to put into words. He always dragged game related equipment around the state at our tournaments; all will miss him. Please pray for Jean in this sorrowful time. A side note, if anyone would like to continue selling game related items please contact Jean Stonerock.

It is that time again for elections for President, 1st & 3rd VP’s. There is a deadline for announcing your candidacy- see our by-laws for more info. Vicki will be taking on the task of collecting nominations for these positions. Boyd was the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee so in the interim until someone is appointed or volunteers for this position send your nominations to Vicki. Her email is dvmarteney@aol.com

The club team tournament is just around the corner in Bradenton, so send your entries to Vicki. We are looking forward to a great tournament and hopefully many teams will be involved.

So until then please have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy your family during this holiday season. There are no guarantees in life, so make every minute count.

3RD VP COMMENTS

I would like to thank the Flagler County Horseshoe Pitching Club for hosting the Florida/Georgia Team Tournament again this year. They did a wonderful job. Congratulations to both of the Flagler teams, they came in first and second. Good job.

The Bradenton Horseshoe Club will be hosting the Florida State Team Event on Saturday January 26, 2019. It’s time to start getting your teams together. There is also a tournament on Friday the 25th, so let’s get together for a nice weekend of pitching. Hope to see a lot of you there.
