My Thanksgiving was terrific and I hope yours was, too!

The Florida/Georgia Team Tournament was super fun up in Flagler. Great event every year and the folks that come down from Georgia are so nice and funny. I could listen to their stories and jokes all day every day! Flagler County Horseshoe Club did a terrific job, as always. Al Meyer has taken on the Tournament Director role and has learned how to use HS Master really well. He’s got a few tournaments under his belt and before long will be able to put together a tournament in his sleep, I’m sure!

So far for the new 2019 season I have processed 131 memberships: 21 new members and 110 renewing members. Last year at this time we had 7 new members and 77 renewals. Perhaps we’ll see an overall increase in our membership by the time we close our books at the end of March!

If you haven’t yet sent in your membership dues yet, please put it on your calendar as you’ll need to have your new 2019 card for your first tournament come January. Tournament directors will be checking to be sure that you have your new card.
