It has been 10 years since the Brevard County Horseshoe Club has hosted a State Tournament and with the help of a number of volunteers we will be hosting the 60th Florida State Championships. The State Tournament is just nine weeks away!

Following is an update on what the Brevard County Horseshoe Club has been doing to prepare for the upcoming State Tournament:

• We have replaced all the wood inside the pits and added fresh clay where needed. We have purchased a total of 3 tons of clay.
• All the backboards have been updated with new wood where needed and will get a fresh coat of paint.
• The courts have been re-certified to meet the requirements of the NHPA.
• Holiday Inn Express in West Melbourne, FL has a block of rooms for those who wish to stay for the duration of the event. The Code to ask for is HSC. The room rate is $104 per night or $124 per night for a suite, before taxes.
• Our Friday night banquet will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Dairy Rd. and our meal will be an Italian 4-entree buffet catered by well-known Pane e Vino Restaurant located in Melbourne.
• The T-shirt and Polo shirt order form has been created and should be on the website soon for folks to order their 60th Anniversary shirts!
