COMMENTS FROM THE THIRD VICE PRESIDENT
We have 80 schedule NHPA sanctioned tournaments this 2010 –
2011 Florida Horseshoe Tournament Season.
Some weeks we have 3 or 4 tournaments in one week. Hope to see you all soon at one of these many
horseshoe tournaments in
We are putting together an Address List of all the Florida
Horseshoe Clubs to be able to get a G.P.S. location. We noticed that some Horseshoe Clubs do not
have the street number for their club, just a proximity. Since
Also the Executive Council has approved revising the notes for the Schedule of Tournaments for 2011 – 2012. It will be the same notes just the letters of the notes (i.e., A, B, C, D etc) will be different. So there will not be any double letters and the notes not being used would be deleted. I will be sending out the new notes to the Tournament Directors for the Schedule of Tournaments for 2011 – 2012 in January 2011. This way the Tournament Directors will have time to review the notes to use them the way they run their tournaments. We try to have next years Florida Schedule of Tournaments for 2011 – 2012 completed by April 1, 2011. A special Thanks to Ernie Kovacs for his suggestion and all the time and talent he spent regarding changing the notes. Now they will be more organized and be able to fit on one page.
Remember if anyone has information regarding changes in FSHPA tournaments, schedules and other items of interest to FSHPA members; please send me an E-mail at vwoollard@aol.com or phone me at 813-645-3610. If we all work together we can make our Florida World of Horseshoes a more fun place to be.
Wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year Ever with Family and Friends and Lots of Ringers.
Verdell Woollard (Dell)

Comments from the 2nd Vice President
I hope everyone is starting
to enjoy our milder fall weather. I know that Dale and I are getting outside
and throwing some shoes now without melting.
We’ve been able to go to a few tournaments and we’ve been sighting
several ‘snowbirds’. I’m sure you’ve
seen them too. That is a sure sign of
the change of season.
The FSHPA Executive Council
held its quarterly meeting at the end of October to discuss several items. One was the fact of Jim Smith’s retirement
from Publicity and Promotions. His
skills will be greatly missed. As Bob
stated in his comments, we are looking for someone to put on a pair of shoes and carry on for our association. Please contact me
if you are interested.
