Dear Heidi :

On September 27, 2011, Frank Barbuti gave us the good news that the Flagler County Board of

Commissioners has approved and funded sanctioned horseshoe courts at the Old Dixie

Community Park.

The newly renamed Flagler*Palm Coast Horseshoe Club (FPCHC) extends our sincerest

thanks to you and everyone involved in this effort.

The 2012-13 horseshoe season begins in March/April.   THE FPCHC still has a great deal of

ground work ahead of us in order to be recognized as a sanctioned facility for horseshoe

tournament play.  The FPCHC is required to give timely notice to the National and State

associations so that  the FPCHC may be included on their pitching schedule and so that they

can include us in their media campaign.

Can you give us the project start date? (Twelve courts, canopies, sidewalk, water, elect, shed,

fence and pavilion ). The FPCHC would like to consult with your team prior to the construction

of the first court, thereby ensuring that all of the courts will be quickly approved and sanctioned.

Early construction and sanctioning of the courts will also give the Tourist Development Council

an opportunity to promote the tournaments scheduled in Flagler County thereby giving its hotel,

retail and restaurant members unanticipated, incremental business in these hard economic

times.

Again, the HPCHC thanks you for your time and your efforts on behalf our Club’s project.

Sincerely,

Tom Martone
