COMMENTS FROM THE SECRETARY

Thank you to everyone for a great 2011 Closed State Tournament! The Saint Cloud club did a great job at hosting! We had 32 Mixed Doubles teams, 40 Doubles teams and 116 singles entered into the tournament. It was lovely getting to see so many of you again and to meet so many new pitchers this year. I really like matching up faces to the names that I write on your NHPA cards!

I was fortunate enough to take score during the Juniors Championship and I was totally amazed at how well everyone pitched. It’s really neat to watch these younger players improve and completely surpass my ringer percentage! I look forward to pitching against any of these juniors in any tournament…who knows, I might learn something!

Next year the State Tournament will be held in Bradenton, FL. Look for more information in future newsletters. See you there!
