Wonderful state tournament this year! Thank you to all who participated and to all who worked so

hard to make sure that everyone had a good experience. I learned so much this year, too, like what

you do when the championship rounds get rained out.....you try again the next day!  Thanks to all the

champs who stayed a bit longer to see it all through. Overall, attendance this year was down a bit and

we hope to see more participants next year at Clearwater.

Summer is here and horseshoe activities slow down a little....when will one of us invent swimming

pool horseshoes? Last Christmas my aunt gave me a floating ping pong table so surely we can have

floating horseshoes.

Our membership numbers in FSHPA are down and it would be great if each club could focus on

recruiting a few new members. Let's promote the sport to anyone who will listen!!  Also, every club

should consider some way to attract juniors to the sport. Exhibitions at schools, partnering with local

church youth groups or boys and girls clubs perhaps.

Looking forward to seeing you all again at various tournaments around the state!!
