This past season I created a group contact email that is for all Florida Horseshoe Pitchers who submit email addresses to Marcela with their dues. This is a wonderful way for pitchers to personally get relevant/current information from the Florida Association. When you receive this email it will come through as FSHPA Inc. It is not spam or dangerous to open this email. The message will be some announcement or information that the Association wants you to know between newsletters. If your email address changes, please be sure to let me know so I can change your contact information on the group email.

Also, some pitchers have not submitted their email addresses to our horseshoe association. Talk about this with your friends/fellow horseshoe pitchers and encourage them to let us have their email address. We will not allow anyone else to have these addresses and will use them ONLY when the information shared is important. If we had the time, we could make personal phone calls!!

One other note, when you know of an announcement that you would like shared with the entire Association, email it to me so everyone can know about it. During this summer down-time without a lot of tournaments this is an excellent way to communicate. The email address for our Florida Horseshoe Pitchers Association is FSHPA@Oviedohc.mysite.com

“ELENA CALLAWAY” JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

CONGRATULATION to this year’s $1,000.00 Florida Junior Horseshoe Pitchers Scholarship Award “Elena Callaway” She also wins the Jr. Memorial scholarship award of $100.00. Hope that Elena will work hard to do well in her studies and continue to enjoy playing horseshoes to win this award again in the future. I will be watching for her success on the courts and off. Hopefully there will be more juniors join her next year to play horseshoes. Having more juniors to play so they can have a class by themselves would encourage them to stay playing this great sport of horseshoes.
