COMMENTS FROM 2ND VP

As we go into our long, hot summer this year let's look back at our 'season finale'. Clearwater Horseshoe Club had an extremely well organized venue for us. Many hands ensured that the courts were open, tools provided and the clay was in superb condition. We had coffee available each morning, flavorful lunches and choice of many snacks. At the end of the day the crew packed up the courts and secured the clubhouse well after the pitchers departed. The preplanning included our lodging, Friday night party location and banquet arrangements. The club's sponsor- Lucas Oil contributed funds again that increased the prize payouts.

The bottom line is that the club is made up of individuals who gave of their time and lots of energy the provide us with a 'season finale' experience to be thankful for! Thank you to each volunteer at the club!! Well done!!!

Our tournament season for next year has been mapped out and compiled again by our State Statstician, Lois Hottinger, who is... you guessed it - a volunteer. The newsletter you are reading is edited and published on our website by our Webmaster, (volunteer) Marvin Grubb. If you look around at every turn you will find volunteers who give of their time. Won't you consider 'volunteering' in some small way to lighten the load of the individuals around you?

In the meantime, stay well, pitch well and I look forward to seeing you on the courts.
