      b.    Drawing: 33 pitchers that pitched in 16 or more tournaments – winner: Ron Hopman (26 tournaments) $50 gift certificate to Lucky Pro Shop

      c.    Out of state: 17 out of state pitchers pitched in 10 or more tournaments – winner: Erv Reed

8.    Junior Scholarship  Ed and Eileen Fox started Florida Junior Pitcher’s Scholarship with the idea that it would promote getting young people involved in horseshoes and to support young people in general. We didn’t have any juniors participating this year.  Scholarship is being presented to a deserving high school senior to use toward their education: Gabriela Usgategui from Anclote HS, Holywood, FL going UCF

9.    Special annual awards

      a.    Highest Tournament Year Ringer Percentage

            i.    Men: Bob Gray 65.4%

            ii.   Women: Shalee Cason 71.0%

            iii.  Elder: Dave Jagers 75.8

      b.    Most improved: David Wietrzak 16.2%

      c.    Player of the year: Frank Cweklinski 4.07

11.   Hall of Fame

      a.    Recognition of HOF members in attendance: Robert Zumbahlen, Debbie Burrows, Donnie Burrows, Ron Deckard, Mabel Adcox representing James Adcox

      b.    Recognition of HOF inductees

            i.    Pitcher Category: Tommy Hall (unable to attend, convalescing) - introduction and award accepted by Rich Watson. 80 first place patches, triple crown, FL stat doubles 4 times, singles 4 times, 25 plaques

            ii.   Organizer Category:  Jim Strain (unable to attend, family obligations) – introduction by Ron Deckard. Joined in 2003, served as Pres villages HSC last 11 years, league director for last 13 years, tournament director 10 years, SR game director for last 10 years. NHPA sanctioned league director award 2014. Award accepted by Dan brown.

12.   Election – re-election: no one running for 1st VP, Janet McFarland accepts for another 2 year term; 3rd vp, Peggy Ogden accepted for another 2 year term; President, no one running so Dale Marteney accepts for another 2 year term.  Next year 2nd VP and Secretary/Treasurer

13.   Closing comments

      a.    EC council works very hard putting together the state tournament, 511 scoresheets created, double checking, entering scores etc

      b.    Everyone who helped is greatly appreciated
