MEN, WOMEN, ELDERS AND JUNIORS SINGLES
APRIL 29/30, 2011 8:00 AM
ST.
CLOUD,
All singles competition will be conducted on
Friday and Saturday. April 29th and 30th beginning at 8:00
AM both days. The Championship classes
will be scheduled to pitch on Saturday afternoon. All players will be scheduled to pitch in
classes according to their entering ringer percentages. Classes with a ringer percentage spread
greater than 10% will be handicapped.
The Championship class of each division, except the Junior
division, will consist of the defending champion and the 6 highest ringer
percentages pitched in classes A through E.
A championship qualifier must notify the tournament committee of his
intention to pitch in the championship class prior to 6:00 PM on Friday, April
29th. There is no additional entry fee
for the championship class. Alternates
may be scheduled to complete the seven person championship classes. If the Friday schedule is cancelled the
Championship classes will consist of the defending champion and the six highest
entering ringer percentages.
If a player can not pitch on Friday and so
indicates by circling NO FRIDAY on their entry form will be scheduled to
pitch in a mixed handicapped class on Saturday; if not enough entries for the
handicapped class on Saturday the entry fee will be refunded. Classes with a ringer percentage spread
greater than 10% will be handicapped.
The handicapped classes will be handicapped at 80%.
Finishing positions in class will be
determined by games won and lost. All
tied positions in all classes except the Championship classes will be
determined by "Who beat who" as explained in the FSHPA Inc.
BY-LAWS. A play off will be conducted in
all Championship classes in which there is a tie for first place. All other tied positions in the Championship
classes will be determined per the FSHPA Inc. BY-LAWS "Who beat who"
in the round robin competition.
In the event of rain and/or cancellation of
play on Friday the Executive Council will reschedule the classes on Saturday
with the Championship classes given preference of play. The rescheduling on Saturday may require
reducing the classes to six players and pitching three shifts, starting at 8:00
AM, in order to schedule the maximum number of players. All players not scheduled or cancel due to rescheduling
on Saturday will receive refunded entry fees.
Rescheduling from two days back to one day may require reducing the
number of shoes per game in all classes.
All rescheduling is the responsibility of the Executive Council and will
be done in the best interest of the tournament and the FSHPA Inc. If both days are rained out then the
Championship classes will be scheduled on Sunday. All other players may request a refund of
their entry fee or will be scheduled on Sunday.
Entry fee refunds must be requested by 5:00 PM on Saturday. The revised schedule will be posted by 6:00
PM on Saturday.
