We had two great days of pitching at Bradenton for the Club Team tournament it even held off raining until we were cleared out of there. We all wish it would have been a warmer day but we all did survive! Thank you Bradenton Club and all - for your excellent facilities, meals and organization for the pitching. I know the club members had to scoop water from the pits because of the rain from Wednesday of that week so the courts could be used for the Friday tournament.

I wanted to let the membership know that we have had two members step into the vacancies formed when Boyd Stonerock passed away. Boyd was invaluable to our organization and to his family, please remember Jean in your prayers. She is looking for someone interested in purchasing the horseshoe business Boyd ran./span>Bob Hilpertshauser is now the Chairman of the By-Laws Committee and Bob Yost has volunteered to fill in as Chairman of the Nominating Committee. It would be nice if each of these members weren't the only persons on the committee. How about some help? You can contact me to participate.

Spring is in the air hopefully we won't have any more cold weather. With the State Tournament just around the corner, make sure you will have pitched in at least five tournaments before the end of March. The Flagler Horseshoe Club has been working really hard to get everything ready. I hope to see a lot of people attending the tournament. I know it goes on for four days, but look at all the exercise you will be getting, if you pitch in all three divisions. Again I ask, as I do every year to please stay Saturday afternoon and cheer on the Champions!
